ECUADOR: HOS 3535 Ecotourism in the Galapagos

Description

Program Description: This course incorporates class sessions on campus as well as a trip to Ecuador and the Galapagos archipelago in early June. The purpose of the course is to allow ASU students to observe first-hand the ecotourism management model applied by the Ecuadorian government at the Parque Nacional Galápagos. By the end of the program, students will identify and evaluate the main strengths and weaknesses of the model and suggest policy changes to
improve it.

Program Cost: $3,890. Summer tuition not included.

Credits: This course fulfills IB major/approved/required or other elective credit, HOS elective credit and COB or UL elective credit. The Global Issues Requirement is fulfilled by this program.
